Austin’s 1-hour grounded SciFi pilot “Strange Chapel” won 1st Prize in the 2024 Fade In Awards SciFi competition, and placed in several major competitions, including the Chicago Script Awards, Cinequest Screenwriting Competition, and was a quaterfinalist in The Writer’s Lab 2021. Also in the TV space, Austin has written and developed a 1-hour action pilot “Carolina Bray” set in the North Carolina Appalachian mountains. She has more TV samples available upon request.

One of Austin’s short films she wrote and produced, “Thanks For Nothing,” had a festival run in 2023. Her first produced feature screenplay, “A Country Romance” originally aired on UpTV and is now streaming on Amazon Prime. Austin’s comedy feature film starring Ashanti and Cedric the Entertainer received a limited theatrical release in Sept 2023 and then moved to steaming on Starz. Her latest feature “Inheritance” had its World Premiere at the “Dances With Films” film festival in Los Angeles in 2024 and is now streaming for on Tubi and Amazon Prime. She also has a sweeping period piece/biopic of Katharine Reynolds, as well as several other short films and features available upon request.

Austin has also been accepted to the Stowe Story Labs Feature Campus for the fall of 2026 where she will develop and write her SciFi movie “Capture.” She’s also going into production on another one of her short films “Weirdo” in the spring of 2026 which she will co-direct.
