Austin currently has two Christmas romantic feature scripts, two half-hour comedy pilots, a 1-hour sci-fi/drama pilot, a 1-hour action pilot, a sweeping period piece biopic feature, a gritty, crime drama feature set in New York, a psychological thriller feature, a heartfelt family feature adapted from her children’s book, a buddy comedy feature set in LA, and a crime thriller feature script available. Her SciFi pilot “Strange Chapel” won 1st Prize in the 2024 Fade In Awards SciFi competition as well as being a quarterfinalist in The Writer’s Lab Screenplay competition for women over 40.
A short film she wrote and produced, “Thanks For Nothing,” had a festival run in 2023. Her first produced feature screenplay, “A Country Romance” originally aired on UpTV and is now streaming on Amazon Prime. Austin’s comedy feature film starring Ashanti and Cedric the Entertainer received a limited theatrical release in Sept 2023 and then moved to steaming on Starz. Her latest feature “Inheritance” had it’s World Premiere at the “Dances With Films” film festival in Los Angeles on June 21st, 2024 and is now available for rent and purchase on Amazon, Apple TV, and many other platforms and is also streaming for free on Tubi.
